Frequently asked questions about microneedling
By applying a special anaesthetic cream beforehand, the treatment is very well tolerated by most patients. You will only feel a slight tingling or pressure sensation on the skin.
Immediately after needling, the skin is reddened, similar to a mild sunburn. This redness usually subsides within 24 to 48 hours. Light make-up can be applied the very next day.
You will often notice an initial freshness effect after just a few days. However, as collagen production takes time, the final results of skin tightening and scar improvement will be visible after around two to three months.
Avoid direct sunlight, solariums, saunas and chlorinated water for approximately one week. The use of a high sun protection factor (SPF 50) is mandatory after treatment to protect the new skin.
