Frequently asked questions about hyaluronic acid
The durability is individual and depends heavily on the treated area and the product used. In areas with a lot of movement, such as the lips, the body breaks down the hyaluronic acid after about 6 to 9 months. In more static areas such as the cheeks or chin, the results can last up to 18 months.
Most modern hyaluronic acid preparations already contain lidocaine, a local anaesthetic that makes the injection very comfortable. We also use extremely fine needles or blunt cannulas, which reduce pain to a minimum.
After treatment, slight redness, minor swelling or, in rare cases, bruising may occur at the injection site. These side effects are normal and usually disappear completely within a few days. You can usually resume your daily routine immediately.
