How mesotherapy works
Mesotherapy is a gentle but extremely effective procedure that combines mechanical stimulation of the skin with the targeted application of medicinal substances. Tiny micro-injections create tiny deposits directly under the skin's surface. These deposits release the active ingredients evenly into the surrounding tissue over a longer period of time. This process activates microcirculation, improves lymphatic drainage and stimulates the body's own production of collagen and elastin.
At The Eram Clinic, we attach great importance to the individuality of each treatment. Whether it's about making dull skin glow, smoothing out the first wrinkles or harmonising the complexion in cases of pigmentation irregularities – mesotherapy offers a tailor-made solution. Through the precise supply of nutrients, the skin receives exactly what it loses in everyday life due to stress, environmental pollution or the natural ageing process.
Versatile application: from mesolift to hair treatment
The areas of application for mesotherapy at our Zurich clinic are extensive and cover the face, body and hair. The so-called mesolift focuses on intensive hydration and firming of the face, neck and décolleté. Even after the first application, the skin appears plumper, fine lines are gently smoothed and the overall appearance is significantly more refreshed. It is the ideal treatment for anyone looking for natural rejuvenation without changing volume.
Another speciality is meso hair therapy. Here, special active ingredients are injected directly into the hair roots to stop hair loss and strengthen the hair structure. The improved nutrient supply revitalises inactive follicles, leading to denser and healthier hair growth. We also use mesotherapy successfully in the fight against cellulite and to tighten sagging tissue on the arms or legs. Through the combination of mechanical stimulation and medicinal effects, we achieve a texture improvement that would not be possible with creams alone.
Why mesotherapy is an excellent choice for your skin quality
Choosing mesotherapy is a decision for long-term skin health. It is a minimally invasive procedure that requires little downtime and is characterised by a very high level of tolerability. As the active ingredients are delivered exactly where they are needed, the treatment is many times more effective than external applications. Mesotherapy is ideal as a regular course of treatment to maintain high skin quality preventively or to systematically compensate for existing deficiencies. You will regain a natural radiance based on healthy and optimally nourished skin.

Holistic approach: synergies for perfect skin
At The Eram Clinic, we consider mesotherapy to be an essential component of your personal beauty concept. To perfect the results of revitalisation, we often combine the procedure with professional dental hygiene. A healthy smile enhances the effect of radiant, well-cared-for skin and ensures a harmonious overall appearance. Combining it with microneedling can also intensify the absorption of the active ingredients, while accompanying radiofrequency therapy provides additional firming.
Aftercare following mesotherapy is straightforward. We recommend avoiding make-up and heavy creams for about 24 hours so as not to block the microchannels. You should also avoid intense sun exposure, saunas and strenuous exercise for two to three days. As the active ingredients need time to develop their full effect in the tissue, the final result often unfolds gradually over several days. Our specialists will create an individual treatment plan for you, which usually consists of an initial course of treatment to replenish the skin's nutrient reserves in the long term.

Frequently asked questions about mesotherapy
Often, a ‘freshness boost’ can be felt immediately after the first treatment. The skin appears more hydrated and the complexion more vibrant. The deeper regenerative effects, such as improved skin density and smoothing of fine lines, usually occur after the second or third session, when the active ingredient deposits in the tissue are fully established.
We use special, ultra-thin needles that have been developed for mesotherapy. The punctures are usually only perceived as a slight prick or tingling sensation. On request, we can apply an anaesthetic cream beforehand to make the treatment as comfortable as possible for you.
As a rule, there is no downtime. Small redness or minimal swelling (wheals) may be visible at the injection sites for a short time, but these usually subside within a few hours. You will usually be completely presentable again the next day.
A skin booster consists primarily of hyaluronic acid for deep hydration. Mesotherapy, on the other hand, uses a broader mix of different active ingredients (vitamins, coenzymes, amino acids) to nourish the skin as a whole and address specific problems such as pigmentation or hair loss.
For lasting results, we recommend an initial course of 3 to 5 sessions at short intervals. After that, a refresher every 3 to 6 months is usually sufficient to keep the depots filled and maintain the skin's quality at a high level.
