Frequently asked questions about teeth whitening
When used professionally under dental supervision, teeth whitening is safe. Modern gels contain substances that protect rather than damage the enamel. There is no removal of tooth substance; only the colour pigments are oxidised.
No, artificial materials such as composite (fillings) or ceramic (crowns and veneers) do not change colour as a result of bleaching. If you have visible restorations in the front teeth area, we will advise you in advance on how we can colour-match them after bleaching to achieve a uniform appearance.
That depends greatly on your habits. With good oral hygiene at home and avoiding excessive tobacco or coffee consumption, the results often last for several years. Regular dental hygiene also helps to remove surface plaque at an early stage.
